About

Melissa Rush is a Boston-born and raised standup comedian performing all over New England. Melissa is a wickedly funny and candidly honest, single, suburban Mom of two teenage daughters and a goldendoodle, who will make you laugh – and blush – with her sassy humor, snarky one-liners and clever wit.  She is a much sought-after host, comedian  and event producer for Boston & Providence area fundraisers, comedy showcases and special events.

Melissa loves to entertain audiences with her candidly honest (and a little bit naughty stories) of everyday life, childhood, divorce, online dating, living in Europe, and raising teenage daughters; while offering her spicy & thought-provoking perspectives on society, parenting, womanhood, pop culture, living abroad in Amsterdam and Paris, technology, mental health and her love of tropical island yoga retreats.

Melissa works at Boston Children’s Hospital and is passionate about supporting the health and well-being of children. Her career had spanned the corporate world, healthcare and higher education with expertise in marketing & sales, journalism, podcasting, social media and events planning.  She supports local charities and foundations focusing on women’s issues, childhood education, mental health, inclusion and equality. She earned her Master’s degree from Georgetown University and Bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
